Bosch Repair

Local Bosch Repair You Can Trust

Bosch is best known for its dishwashers, and we repair the common Bosch dishwasher problems: units that won’t drain, leave dishes dirty or stop with an E-code. We also repair Bosch ranges, wall ovens, refrigerators, washers and dryers.

Bosch dishwashers are often built-in or panel-ready, so we work carefully around your cabinetry and get the repair done with the right parts. We serve Waukegan, Zion, Beach Park and across Lake County.

Common Bosch Problems

  • Dishwasher E15 (water in the base / leak)
  • Dishwasher E24 or E25 (drain problem)
  • Dishes coming out dirty or wet
  • Dishwasher won’t start or stops mid-cycle
  • Range or wall oven not heating
  • Washer or dryer error codes

IyJ Repairs is an independent repair company and is not affiliated with Bosch.

Bosch Problems, Explained

What tends to go wrong on each Bosch appliance line, and what the fix normally involves.

Bosch dishwasher E15 error

E15 is the most-searched Bosch code. A float in the base pan has detected water and shut the dishwasher down to protect your floor. The water got there from a leak: a door gasket, a loose hose, a cracked spray arm, or an overfill. Tilting the dishwasher to drain the base clears the code but not the leak.

Usual fix: Find and fix the leak, dry the base pan, then reset. The leak source decides the part.

Bosch dishwasher E24 and E25 (not draining)

E24 means the dishwasher couldn’t drain in time; E25 points more specifically at the drain pump or its cover. In most cases the filter is clogged, the pump cover has worked loose, or something is jammed in the impeller. A failed pump is the next step.

Usual fix: Clean the filter and pump area, reseat the cover; replace the drain pump if it still won’t clear.

Bosch dishwasher not cleaning or not drying

Bosch units dry with condensation rather than a heater fan, so wet dishes are often normal for plastics. Dirty dishes point at clogged spray arms, a dirty filter or a heating fault (E09) that leaves the water cold.

Usual fix: Spray arm and filter cleaning, or the heating element.

Bosch range and wall oven not heating

Bosch ovens are electric and rely on bake and broil elements, a temperature sensor and a control board. A cold oven with a working cooktop is almost always an element; an oven that runs hot or cold is the sensor.

Usual fix: Bake element, temperature sensor or control board.

Bosch washer and dryer problems

Bosch compact laundry pairs are common in condos and stacked closets. Washers report drain and door faults on the display; dryers are usually condenser or heat-pump models that need their filters and condenser cleaned to keep drying.

Usual fix: Drain pump, door lock, or a condenser and filter service.

Is Your Bosch Still Under Warranty?

  • Check the purchase date: most manufacturer warranties cover parts and labor for one year, with longer coverage on sealed systems, motors or drums for some models.
  • Find the model and serial number on the appliance label; the manufacturer’s site or support line can confirm what is still covered.
  • If it’s covered, contact the manufacturer first. An independent repair can’t be billed to the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Out of warranty, or covered but you’d rather not wait: call us and we’ll quote the repair upfront.
